Great book, very helpful! July 13, 2010 Kathryn Daiber This book is very practical, easy to understand and was very informative. I started an eco-friendly cleaning business and it was of great help.
Clean House is a great tool November 24, 2009 45 dancer (W. LA, CA) I have been telling people how much $ I saved using this book. But most important is that I no longer have skin & sinus issues during and after cleaning. I used to get terrible allergic reactions that would lasts for 2-3 days with the chemical cleaners. But not anymore! My house is clean and smells good. I love the fact I don't have residue on my windows or mirrors! My grout stays white!! My drains are gunk free! Also I can make as much as I want. Thank you Clean House, Clean Planet
I bought this 2nd book for a friend.
Overreliance on just a few products May 29, 2009 Deanna Herald (San Antonio, TX United States) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Karen picks just a few products and uses those for each of her recipes. I would've liked to see more products, hydrogen peroxide for example. Also, I really wanted more of an explanation of the chemistry of cleaning, so that I would be able to figure out which products to use myself.
A great book for green cleaning May 6, 2009 bookgirl710 (USA) I've had this book for about 10 years and I am still using many of the recipes in the book. I love it. I've never tried any of the other guides out there, so I can't compare them, but I guess you could say this is a pretty complete guide since I've never felt like I needed another. As another reviewer said, start small with vinegar, baking soda, and club soda, perhaps a box of borax too. My one real gripe with the book is that it is fairly disorganized and it is not easy to go back and look up recipes. That being said I would still recommend it to everyone.
Great idea April 16, 2009 K. Verbeek (The Netherlands) I am very much particular when it comes to cleanliness not just with in my self but to almost anything about and around me. And when a friend of mine introduced to me the book authored by Karen Noonan Logan, I feel really excited about it.
What I did is I purchased the book, did read it, and tried the suggestions she provided about the utilization of baking sodas, vinegar and other liquid materials in cleaning up some areas of the house like the window, kitchen, etc. Well I am glad as they worked for me. When I applied them to the surface that I wanted to get cleaned, they totally work which is good! I think the author's idea was really great!
